Guest Speaker

Terri Tchorzynski former ASCA School Counselor of the Year will be presenting alongside David Ford in the All In for All Students - Delivering Your School Counseling Program Using MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) session. She will also be presenting sessions during our regular conference.

Terri Tchorzynski currently serves as the Assistant Director of Professional Development for Hatching Results®.  She has served as a student advocate for over 17 years in the role of both a high school English teacher and school counselor with a specialized focus on career development within Career and Technical Education (CTE).  Under Terri’s leadership her counseling department has received both state and national recognition for exemplary practices in college/career readiness by the Michigan Department of Education and was one of the first schools in her state to be honored as a Recognized ASCA Model Program.  As a result of her counseling department paving the way for school counselors in Michigan, Terri and her team offered state-wide trainings to encourage more Michigan schools to follow the ASCA National Model and achieve the RAMP designation.  Serving as a strong advocate for the development of comprehensive, data-driven programs, Terri serves on several committees to provide a school counselor perspective, including CollegeBoard, ACT State Organizations and business/industry-driven committees with a special emphasis on career development.  In support of the school counseling profession and CTE, Terri has also released several publications to highlight the benefits of student-centered counseling programs that are focused on academics, career development and social-emotional support.  Terri was named the 2017 National School Counselor of the Year by the American School Counselor Association and was honored in a White House ceremony by former First Lady Michelle Obama.  She currently serves as President-Elect for the Michigan School Counselor Association, is a national trainer for AdvanceCTE and is a nationally recognized keynote speaker and presenter.
