I am a school counselor with over 25 years of experience supporting children, teens, and young adults in nonprofit and school settings. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and my M.A. in School Counseling, along with ongoing training in trauma-informed practices, ASCA U, PBIS, CharacterStrong, and Leader in Me. I was drawn to school counseling because I believe every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. I am passionate about creating practical SEL resources, strengthening school communities, and helping educators and students build resilience. I am honored to serve ISCA and contribute to a profession dedicated to whole-child support, equity, and meaningful connections. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two adult daughters, staying active, and enjoying the outdoors.
