Elections Overview
ISCA elections are held annually to fill open positions on the Governing Board and the Operations Team. All positions, with the exception of Graduate Student Committee Chairs, serve three-year terms beginning July 1.
Each November, ISCA announces open positions, and applications are due by January.
Governing Board elections are voted on by ISCA’s professional membership. Finalist interviews are conducted in January, with election results announced during National School Counseling Week.
Operations Team positions follow a similar interview timeline, but are appointed by the current Governing Board following finalist interviews.
This process ensures strong, representative leadership across the association and creates a consistent timeline for transition and onboarding.
